CASINO ROYALE – Ian Fleming
A first edition, first printing published by Jonathan Cape in 1953.
The book is good+ with some light staining to the boards and some wear to the edges and corners of the boards. The copyright page states, ‘First Published 1953’ with no further mention of any subsequent printings. The rough cut pages are evident to the bottom edge. One small book seller’s ticket to the front pastedown with some foxing and some occasional stains to pages (mainly to the corners of pages 12-16) – the book has obviously been read a number of times.
The true, rare first edition.
The book comes complete with a custom-made clamshell box (the front board of which echoes the design of the wrapper).
The book is now encased in a high-grade replica dust wrapper.
